Collection Story
Origin
Cassina's account of the three authors begins in 1922, when Le Corbusier started work in the new atelier on rue de Sèvres in Paris with his cousin Pierre Jeanneret. In October 1927 Charlotte Perriand joined the work, and the collaboration ran until 1937; Cassina calls it extremely fruitful, especially for furniture. Cassina dates its mass production of the first four models by the three to 1965.

Design Language
The shared project was “l’équipement d'intérieur de l’habitation”, the equipment of the home interior. Cassina describes the results as designs of great intellectual value and considerable commercial success, and says its continued production keeps interest in them alive.
