Story
A study of restful seating
Cassina's sheet says the chaise longue was designed in 1928 on the basis of a study of restful seating, and that it expresses the desire of the three authors to place the human figure at the centre of the design. The sheet shows a photograph captioned as the presentation of the furniture in the Maison La Roche, Paris, 1928.

Introduced 1965, re-introduced 2023
According to the sheet, Cassina first introduced the model in 1965 and re-introduced it in 2023 with circular materials. The recycled polyester wadding of the mattress and the blown recycled polyester fibre of the headrest belong to that version, and the interior of the mattress is now attached with velcro, which the sheet says allows easier disassembly.
