Story
A history-making design icon
Cassina's page opens the grand modèle story with a quick sketch that grows into what it calls a synthesis of form and function. Its inventive character, the page adds, has made it an icon of modernity and a design masterpiece with lasting appeal.
A durable version from 2020
The product sheet describes a durable version of the méridienne that Cassina produced in 2020. Its tubular steel structure comes in polished chrome, brushed nickel or painted finish, and its flexible polyurethane foam is made with eco-friendly polyols derived from renewable bio-based resources.
