Brand Story
Heritage
GUBI is a global design house headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. It describes itself as the curator behind some of the most extraordinary design from the 20th century onwards, bringing "a century of design brilliance" together in one ever-evolving collection of furniture, lighting and interior objects.
Philosophy
GUBI positions itself where the beauty of history meets the thrill of the present: it dives into archives to revive modern icons and at the same time works with the creative talents of today. Its idea of sustainability starts with making to last: slow design, carefully selected materials, products built for durability and aesthetics that transcend trends. GUBI joined the UN Global Compact in 2019 and signed up to the Science Based Targets initiative in 2022.

Iconic Works
The collection spans re-editions and contemporary pieces by designers such as Greta M. Grossman, Mathieu Matégot, Paavo Tynell, Gio Ponti, Pierre Paulin, Joe Colombo, Gabriella Crespi and Bonderup & Thorup. Its best-known contemporary design is the Beetle Chair by GamFratesi (2013), which has grown into a whole family of dining, lounge, bar and meeting chairs.

Today
GUBI employs more than 100 people internationally and collaborates with specialist manufacturers across the globe. It sells its collection through gubi.com and retail partners worldwide, with a professional channel for architects and specifiers.
