Brand Story
Heritage
Carl Hansen & Søn was founded by master cabinetmaker Carl Hansen, who opened his first workshop in Odense on 28 October 1908; his first real factory followed in 1915. His son Holger Hansen took over in 1934, and in 1949 met Hans J. Wegner — the start of a collaboration that defined the company. Today it is a third-generation, family-owned business led by Knud Erik Hansen, with its factory in Gelsted on Funen.
Philosophy
The company believes that iconic design combines simplicity, aesthetics and functionality, brought to life through skilful work with the finest materials. Its goal is to gather the best, most iconic modern furniture designs under one roof, preserving Danish classics while adding new designers.

Iconic Works
- Hans J. Wegner's CH24 Wishbone Chair and CH25 (in production since 1950), CH07 Shell Chair, CH327 table
- Designs by Kaare Klint, Arne Jacobsen, Børge Mogensen, Ole Wanscher and Poul Kjærholm

Today
