Story

From rococo to simplification

The sofa takes its starting point in a French rococo sofa, which Klint reduced to a clear, purposeful form.

Carlsberg offices and the 1933 exhibition

The first version was made in the early 1930s for the New Carlsberg Foundation offices in Copenhagen. Klint kept refining it and showed the final Addition Sofa at the 1933 Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition.
