Edra describes Jacopo Foggini as an explorer across art and design. He was born in Turin and lives in Milan.
Signature materials
While working in his family businesses, he discovered the versatility of methacrylate and polycarbonate, materials commonly used for car reflectors. At the end of the 1990s he began experimenting with them in installations and works of art.
Artistic practice
Foggini opened his own gallery in Milan and produced a book devoted to his artistic production. Edra also notes that his luminous sculptures entered permanent institutional collections.
Work with Edra
In Edra's 2021 article, Foggini says that the objects created with the company embody stories with poetic value beyond form. His description of that collaboration connects the narrative carried by an object with its physical design.
