Overview
Capriccio is a table designed by Jacopo Foggini for Edra. Inspired by the dynamics of a musical movement, the product page describes its shape as unique and irregular. Crystal and metal tube are the named materials, selected for the design of this table.
Construction
Two systems of metal tubing interlock to support the glass tabletop. Manual instruments curve the tubes, creating the supporting structure beneath the top. The page identifies this interlocking arrangement as the construction of the table and links its form to the two metal systems.
Story
Interlocking structure
Capriccio brings together a crystal top and two systems of metal tubing. Jacopo Foggini is credited as designer. The tubes are manually curved with instruments before they interlock beneath the glass tabletop. Edra connects that construction to the table’s irregular form, drawing on the dynamics of a musical movement rather than a conventional geometric outline. The two systems jointly support the top.
