Cicladi
Edra presents Cicladi as a family of low tables designed by Jacopo Foggini. Each table combines an alabaster top with irregular, jagged edges and a cone-shaped metal base. The top is cut from what Edra calls the crude egg of the evaporite mineral, preserving changing veins, facets and dimensions. Seen from above, the forms resemble islands, which explains the Cicladi name. Different heights and colours are available for both the tables and their conical bases, while the natural variation of the alabaster makes every example unique.
Story
Mineral character
Cicladi begins with the changing structure of alabaster rather than a uniform manufactured outline. Edra explains that each top is cut from the mineral's crude egg, so its veins, facets and dimensions remain individual. From above, the irregular and jagged perimeter recalls an island. Jacopo Foggini pairs this distinctive stone top with a cone-shaped metal base, offered in different heights and colours. The result is a family of related low tables in which variation is an essential part of the design.
