Gina
Edra describes Gina as a chair whose seat and back are formed by a single thread, creating a precious handmade embroidery in polycarbonate. The design plays with light and transparency. Each piece is unique and rests on four removable wooden legs painted in semi-glossy black. Edra presents the chair as precious and elegant for both ancient and contemporary settings. The single-thread construction makes the transparent seat and back read as one continuous embroidered surface, while the removable legs keep the support distinct from the polycarbonate body. Edra’s description connects this combination with the chair’s ability to suit older or contemporary interiors.
Story
Light and transparency
Gina uses one continuous polycarbonate thread to form both seat and back. Jacopo Foggini is credited by Edra. The handmade embroidery gives the transparent chair its crafted character, while four removable wood legs provide the support. Semi-glossy black paint on the legs contrasts with the see-through body. The four-legged support can be removed, and the semi-glossy black finish is the only named leg treatment on the page.
