Collection Story
The collaboration
Cassina's Karakter x Cassina page presents Karakter as a Danish company, acquired in 2019, that has become part of Cassina's atmospheres through a broad range of Karakter x Cassina products. The page says the two brands share a deeply felt affinity, rooted in Karakter's collaborations with architects and designers such as Achille Castiglioni, Joe Colombo and Angelo Mangiarotti, which it calls perfectly aligned with the spirit of Cassina.
Designers and pieces named on the collection page
The first twelve tiles of the page name pieces by Bodil Kjaer (Principal stool, Principal bar and counter chair, Principal chair), Gianfranco Frattini (780/783), Joe Colombo (Chair 300 and 5-in-1), Nicos Zographos (CH66), Verner Panton (Peacock chair), Angelo Mangiarotti (Accelsa suspension lamp), Afra & Tobia Scarpa (upholstered versions of 925 and 121) and Gijs Bakker (GB Lounge). The page counts 51 results in all.
Additions reported in Cassina's journal
A journal item dated 3 April 2025 lists that year's additions: the Rundet Chair by the Swiss duo PlueerSmitt, new colourways for the Comodo cabinet and for the Trio shelf system by Achille Castiglioni and Giancarlo Pozzi, new upholstery options for chairs by Afra and Tobia Scarpa, and Tsè, porcelain accessories created with the Taiwanese designer Pili Wu and the HAN Gallery in Taipei under the creative direction of Gijs Bakker. It describes Trio as a corner shelf system in wood with three triangular shelves, and the Rundet Chair as almost the outline of a chair, stripped down to its most essential parts.
A second item, dated 10 June 2026, covers Cassina's installation at 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen, in the Frederiksgade 1 building, from 10 to 12 June. Its focus is on the new Karakter x Cassina pieces shown at Milan Design Week. These are Aldo Bakker's AB Dining table, shown with the reissued CH66 chair by Nicos Zographos, Verner Panton's Peacock Chair, and Gianfranco Frattini's 780/783 side tables in finishes new that year.
On INTEBEE the pieces of this collection can be added to a spec sheet with their official images and dimensions, and every revision of the specification is kept in one place for the project team and suppliers.
