Story
From a sketch by Carlo Scarpa
According to the Cassina page, the chair was produced in 1965 on a design by Afra and Tobia Scarpa, based on a sketch by the architect and designer Carlo Scarpa, Tobia's father.
Alongside the 925
The page says the 121 dining chair was designed along with the 925 lounge chair of the following year. It calls both masterful examples of the work of Afra and Tobia Scarpa and says they share the same double trestle-style structure with rounded corners.
