Description

Overview

Piero Lissoni designed the Rod bed for Living Divani in 2013. It is a natural evolution of Rod and has a neat yet elegant outline, an invitation to the serenity of calm nights.

Construction

The bed is a single or double bed with a 10 mm thick HPL headboard panel. The headboard cushion is filled with pre-washed, sterilized goose down in separate stitched pockets, with a polyurethane foam insert and a poplar plywood panel that fixes the cushions to the frame through plug-in hinges. The cushions are quilted with visible buttons. The bedstead structure is steel with a black epoxy powder coating, padded in polyurethane foam, and the shell covering is a polyether fabric (100%), thermally bonded onto polyamide velveteen. The feet are fixed to the base through a bushing, in AISI 304 stainless steel or in painted steel, with adjustable plastic tips at the floor. The slat base is covered in 100% cotton; 2 zippers join the cover to the bedstead upholstery and open its sides for the slat base.

Specifications

Overall height: 87 cm. Foot finishes: stainless steel (polished or matt satin), burnished paint, Gunmetal grey lacquer, matt black paint. The upholstery, in fabric or leather, is removed completely by undoing Velcro fastenings.
