Description
Overview
Sumo Panca is a bench by Piero Lissoni, dated 2021, in the Sumo range of Living Divani. The bench takes loose cushions in several sizes alongside a wooden top, and elegant, functional colored containers can be paired with that top.
Construction
The supporting frame is tubular steel section 20 x 30 mm, powder-coated in Gunmetal grey with epoxy polyester, and a Ø25 mm tubular steel bracket in Gunmetal grey is used for the bench. The top is a bevelled MDF panel 20 mm thick, with Canaletto Walnut veneer on the face and edges under a water-based acrylic finish, while its edge and bottom are always matt black lacquer. The seat cushion is stitched in the centre, padded in polyurethane foam of differentiated density, and finished with a non-slip cotton fabric bottom. Covers in fabric or leather come off entirely, closed with zippers and Velcro fastenings, and plastic supports with changeable black plastic or felt tips touch the floor.
