Floyd-Hi 2 Armchair

Overview

Floyd-Hi 2 is an armchair designed by Piero Lissoni in 2019 for Living Divani. Its design is traditional yet contemporary, calibrated and essential, and the armchair is made for relaxing.

Construction

The backrest and armrest structure is multilayer poplar wood and double-panelled fir-wood, padded in differentiated density polyurethane foam. The steel seat chassis has an epoxy powder coating and is sprung with coated rubber elastic straps. Backrest and armrest cushions hold prewashed and sterilised goose down in separate stitched compartments around a polyurethane foam insert, while the seat cushion is differentiated density polyurethane foam with a Visco-soft insert. Feet are laser-cut steel sheet in Gunmetal Grey, with black plastic floor feet. Fabric or leather upholstery is fully removable by zippers and Velcro fastenings.

A calibrated, essential armchair

Floyd-Hi 2 pairs padded backrest and armrest structures with a seat on a steel chassis, and the whole body stands on laser-cut steel feet. The cover can be taken off, because the fabric or leather upholstery fastens with zippers and Velcro.

Cushion fillings

Two fillings are used in the cushions. Backrest and armrest cushions use goose down that is prewashed and sterilised and stitched into separate compartments, and the seat cushion uses polyurethane foam of differentiated density with a Visco-soft insert and acrylic fibre layers.
