Description
Overview
Floyd-Hi Bed is a bed by Piero Lissoni, dated 2019. It is distinguished by the detail of large, soft cushions resting on a lowered headboard, which creates a play of heights, joints and textures in the sign of three-dimensionality and pureness of lines. It is made as a single or double bed.
Construction
A headboard frame of multilayer poplar and double-paneled fir-wood carries padding made of foam and acrylic fiber layers. The covering is a polyether fabric bonded to a polyamide velveteen backing. The headrest cushion leans against the frame and holds goose down in stitched compartments around a foam insert. Beneath it, the bedstead chassis is tubular steel in a 50 x 30 mm section, finished black. A laser-cut steel sheet bracket is lacquered Gunmetal Grey and ends in a satinized brass foot under a matt transparent varnish; plastic tips touch the floor. Zippers and Velcro let the whole upholstery, fabric or leather, come off.
Specifications
Overall height: 84 cm.
