Story
Rietveld's crate thinking, as a bench
Gerrit Rietveld conceived the Crate series with surplus wooden shipping crates in view. HAY and Rietveld Originals have brought it back with respect for the original, and the bench keeps the series' balanced proportions.
Supportive armrests
Seat and back slope gently in this classic bench shape, and supportive armrests complete it. Simple and spatial, it follows the architectural principles of Rietveld, seeking comfort that does not absorb space.
