Overview
The Committee Chair is an upholstered chair on a solid wood structure with upside-down V lateral supports, from Cassina's Hommage à Pierre Jeanneret tribute collection. It is offered with and without armrests.
Construction
- Structure: solid teak, natural oak or oak stained black; the wood has a low gloss finish.
- Seat and armrest: a wooden frame strapped with elastic webbing.
- Padding: polyurethane foam plus recycled PET fibre.
- Cover: removable; fabric or leather chosen from the Cassina Collections.

Story
Reinterpreted from the Chandigarh furniture
Cassina's sheet says the furniture designed by Le Corbusier and his cousin Pierre Jeanneret for the grand political and public buildings of Chandigarh is reinterpreted while staying true to the original project. The Committee Chair now becomes part of the Hommage à Pierre Jeanneret tribute collection.
With and without armrests
The chair is presented in its original version with armrests and in a new interpretation without armrests, which Cassina describes as a more versatile fit for both living and dining rooms. The upholstery is removable to make it easier to replace the material around the armrests.
