Overview
The Capitol Complex Table is a large rectangular table in solid wood with a wood or glass top, made by Cassina as a tribute to Pierre Jeanneret. Cassina says it was originally envisioned to furnish the Legislative Assembly building in Chandigarh, and the sheet calls it a large conference table.
Construction
- Frame: solid oak or Burmese teak.
- Base: two solid wood elements in the crossed horns ("cornes entrecroisées") shape.
- Top: honeycomb panel veneered in teak or oak with solid wood edges, or 15 mm tempered float glass.
- Feet: black plastic.

Story
Furniture for the Legislative Assembly
The sheet places this table among the furniture used in the Legislative Assembly building at Chandigarh, where it served as a large conference table. Cassina's page says it was originally envisioned for that building and is reinterpreted today by the joinery masters of Meda.
Two graphic solid wood elements
The sheet says the base, with two important and graphic solid wood elements in the characteristic crossed horns shape, evokes the solemn functions of the place. The top can be wood or glass.
