Overview
The Capitol Complex Chair is an armless chair in solid wood with woven Viennese cane, produced by Cassina in its Hommage à Pierre Jeanneret collection. Cassina calls it one of the most well-known pieces from the Capitol Complex in Chandigarh and a tribute to Pierre Jeanneret.
Construction
- Structure: solid oak or Burma teak.
- Cane: woven Viennese cane for backrest and seat.
- Detail: V-shaped side supports.

Story
One of the Capitol Complex chairs
Cassina's page says this is one of the most recognisable chairs in Chandigarh's Capitol Complex, found throughout the offices of the Secretariat. The woven back and seat across a wooden frame and the use of teak are described as common in the area.
A shorter V
The sheet says the armless chair uses the V approach to its side bars as the better-known office chair does, in a shorter form because the bars do not extend to the arms.
