Overview

Story
An office chair of the Secretariat
Cassina's sheet calls the Office Chair one of the most recognisable pieces in Chandigarh's Capitol Complex, where it stood in many of the Secretariat's administrative offices. Its separate solid wood pieces include side bars set as an inverted V that converge to hold up the armrest.
Cane and local wood
According to the sheet, a woven seat and backrest stretched within a wooden frame are typical of the place, as is the use of teak, a local wood. Cassina's reissue offers the classic teak version and versions in oak.
