Description

Overview

The Solaria chair is the outdoor dining chair of the Solaria collection by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba. Poltrona Frau says it keeps the weave motif of the collection's sofa and armchair, and that its sloping shape, joined to the seat in a single curved line, invites relaxation and conversation. The chair is stackable.

Construction

The frame is painted steel on the product page and powder-coated cast aluminium on the product sheet, in two finishes coordinated with the rope weave. The seat and backrest are woven in polypropylene rope. A seat cushion is upholstered in Pelle Frau® Outdoor leather or outdoor fabric, and the feet are nylon glides.

Specifications

Code 5667001 is drawn at 54 cm wide, 59 cm deep and 83 cm high.

Story

A chair for the dining area

The product sheet describes the Solaria seating system as a testament to comfort and lightness, built from horizontal islands that define space without creating barriers. Within that system the chair is the piece designed for the dining area, with a sloped seat shape that connects to the backrest in one curved line.

Weave carried over from the sofa and armchair

Poltrona Frau's page says the chair retains the distinctive weave motif first introduced in the original design of the collection's sofa and armchair. The rope is intricately handwoven, which the sheet says creates an alternation between solidity and openness.
