Solaria Modular Sofa

Overview

Solaria is a modular outdoor sofa by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, dated 2021 on its product sheet. The page offers it with two or three seats, with end or corner elements, and with optional backrests and armrests for linear or island configurations.

Construction

The structure is powder-coated lacquered stainless steel on narrow feet. The page says the armrests and backrest, also stainless steel, are covered with a handmade rope weave whose pattern thickens at the top and bottom, and that the padded elements are removable and covered in outdoor fabric.

Cushions that let water through

According to the page, the outdoor cushions are designed to let water drain away, so that the sofas dry quickly, and the system can take other optional cushions that give the backrest extra support.

Spare covers on request

The product sheet lists extra cover kits that can be ordered on request. The woven version takes a seat kit with covers for the base and the seat cushion. The upholstered version can have a complete kit for frame, base and seat cushion, a kit for the frame alone, or the same seat kit.
