Description

Overview

Saparella Settee Outdoor is the three-place composition in Michel Ducaroy's modular family for Ligne Roset. Two convex fireside chairs flank a concave diabolo, and a mirror-polished stainless-steel linking piece holds the three elements together.

Outdoor construction

The base and sides use 28 kg/m³ polyether foam on ventilated Batyline-type fabric. Convex seat forms help water drain. Two high-resilience Bultex grades provide support and a softer upper layer.

Cover and dimensions

An impermeable inner sleeve precedes 200 g/m² polyester wadding, and the outer upholstery can be removed. The settee measures 2,200 x 1,000 x 680 mm (W x D x H), with a 340 mm seat height and a weight of 39.5 kg.

Story

Three linked modules

The settee is not a single moulded sofa: it is a precise three-part Saparella configuration. Its central diabolo takes a concave outline inspired by the toy of the same name, allowing the two convex fireside chairs to slot against it. A polished stainless-steel link secures the composition.

Exterior upholstery

The ventilated underside and convex seat geometry encourage water run-off. A water-resistant liner protects the foam, while 200 g/m² quilting and removable covers form the outer layers. The standard cover has a 5 mm baguette stitch; Gayac upholstery is the named exception.
