Overview
The Kashima Small footstool is the one-place footstool of the Kashima family designed by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset. Its cover can be chosen from 26 materials.
Construction
The body is entirely foam, made from polyether grades of 21 and 28 kg/m³ and wrapped in polyester quilting. The seat is high resilience polyurethane Bultex foam under a layer of hyper soft foam. Twin-needle overstitching finishes the seams and buttoning, and an upholsterer is able to remove the cover.

Story
A footstool in the Kashima range
The Small footstool carries the Kashima styling into a single-place piece: a fully quilted cover whose "pinched" corner seams carry interior laces, with the buttoning done by invisible tie rods set inside the foam.
Reissued in 2023
Ligne Roset reissued the emblematic Kashima model in 2023, presenting it as the "comfortable Chesterfield" with the "English" comfort of generous, rounded shapes.
