Description

Overview

For Ligne Roset, Michel Ducaroy shaped this one-person Saparella unit with convex sides. It can stand alone or combine with the concave diabolo element.

Outdoor construction

Polyether foam at 28 kg/m³ builds the lower body and side walls above an aerated Batyline-type textile. The rounded seat sheds water. Two specified Bultex grades form the supporting upholstery and its softer comfort overlay.

Cover and dimensions

Beneath the detachable outer upholstery are a waterproof liner and 200 g/m² polyester padding. The chair measures 780 x 1,000 x 680 mm (W x D x H), with a 340 mm seat height, one seat place and a weight of 13 kg.

Story

The convex Saparella module

The fireside chair is the single-seat component in Saparella's modular arrangement. Its convex outer edge is shaped to meet the concave diabolo, allowing two chairs and the central element to form a three-place settee.

Built for exterior use

Ventilated support fabric and the convex seat profile manage water beneath the foam construction. The upholstery includes a water-resistant inner liner, 200 g/m² polyester quilting and a 5 mm baguette stitch. Covers are removable; the Gayac upholstery option omits the baguette stitch.
