Rombe IF6

Overview

Rombe IF6 is an add-on bay with a cabinet from Industrial Facility, dated 2025. The bay joins the core bays of Rombe, and its cabinet has reeded glass doors.

Construction

An extruded aluminium upright bracket and a die-cast aluminium top support and foot form the frame. Shelves are sheet steel (laser cut and bent) or wooden boards finished in oak or walnut veneer. The cabinet uses that veneer as well, together with 5 mm low iron tempered glass, and plastic gliders are fitted.

Specifications

81.5 x 36 x 223 cm (32 x 14 1/8 x 87 7/8 in). Weight: 43 kg with veneer shelves, 45 kg with steel shelves. Environment: indoor.

A cabinet with a mid-century reference

IF6 is the cabinet version of Rombe's add-on bay. It extends what the system can do, and the cabinet makes a subtle reference to mid-century innovations while elegantly concealing objects of daily life.

Lacquer, FSC wood and aluminium

Water-based lacquer finishes the veneer, and the wood is FSC® certified. Disassembly is part of the design, which eases repair, renovation and end-of-life recycling, and the aluminium is lightweight, durable and highly recyclable.
