Overview
Rombe IF3 is a full bay cabinet designed in 2025 by Industrial Facility. The bay belongs to Rombe, a modular shelving system, and its cabinet has reeded glass doors that conceal objects.
Construction
Top support and foot are die-cast aluminium, while the upright bracket is extruded aluminium. Shelves are either laser-cut and bent sheet steel or wooden boards with oak or walnut veneer, and the cabinet is made from the same veneer. Plastic gliders are fitted.

83 x 36 x 223 cm (32 5/8 x 14 1/8 x 87 7/8 in). Weight: 46 kg with veneer shelves, 48 kg with steel shelves. Environment: indoor.
Story
Tactility in the system
Rombe is built around sculptural utility and meant to adapt to the multifaceted needs of modern living. In IF3 a cabinet with reeded glass doors adds another layer of tactility and elegantly conceals objects.
Water-based lacquer and aluminium
Water-based lacquer on the veneer is chosen for indoor air quality. The design is meant for disassembly, and its aluminium is a metal able to serve another production cycle.
