Rombe IF4

Overview

Rombe IF4 is an add-on bay with shelves, designed in 2025 by Industrial Facility for &Tradition. Its job is to widen a Rombe arrangement by joining the system's core bays.

Construction

Die-cast aluminium forms the top support and the foot, while the upright bracket is an extruded aluminium part. Each shelf is either sheet steel, laser cut and bent, or a wooden board with oak veneer. Gliders in plastic are fitted.

Specifications

81.5 x 36 x 223 cm (32 x 14 1/8 x 87 7/8 in). Weight: 25 kg with veneer shelves, 27 kg with steel shelves. Environment: indoor.

An add-on that extends the core bays

IF4 is the shelf version of Rombe's add-on bay. The bay is designed to expand the functional potential of the system, letting it grow and evolve with and around its surroundings.

Lacquer, FSC wood and aluminium

Water-based lacquer is used on the oak or walnut veneer, and the wood is FSC® certified. The bay can be taken apart, which helps with repair, renovation and recycling at end-of-life, and aluminium is a metal that can enter another production cycle.
