Lipp Dormeuse

Overview

Lipp Dormeuse is a daybed by Piero Lissoni, designed in 2017 for Living Divani. Its asymmetric shape and retro touches sit on a slender line, with an elegantly quilted backrest and armrest.

Construction

Backrest and armrest are built on a frame of multilayer poplar with polyurethane foam and acrylic-fibre padding worked in capitonné. The seat chassis is 50x30 mm steel tube finished in black epoxy-polyester powder, with crosswise-woven elastic straps as suspension. The seat cushions combine polyurethane foam of varying density with Visco-soft, under an acrylic-fibre layer. Steel tube legs are tied together by a 15x15 mm square-section bracket in burnished powder finish and stand on adjustable black plastic tips.

Quilted back and arm

The dormeuse extends the Lipp family with a daybed that has a single raised side. The backrest and armrest upholstery carries the capitonné working and stays fixed in both leather and fabric versions, while the seat cushion and the under-seat chassis upholstery are fully removable with zippers.

Left and right versions, loose cushion

The dormeuse comes in left (SX) and right (DX) versions and has a 72 cm seat depth. A loose cushion of 50 x 40 cm is available. The capitonné detail cannot be made with Cuoietto leather.
