Description
Overview
The DUO Pedestal Table is a handcrafted round coffee table by Roberto Lazzeroni. A conical solid-ash pedestal, carved by hand with a gouge, rises from a brushed bronzed brass base.
Construction
- Pedestal: solid ash stained moka or wenge, hand-carved with a gouge
- Base: brushed bronzed brass, beneath the cone
- Top: semi-gloss Calacatta marble or back-painted glass, fitted flush into a solid-ash frame with an ash-veneered poplar plywood panel
Specifications
- Marble: lightened, 8 mm thick, with a water-repellent surface and a honeycomb aluminium backing
- Glass: back-painted, in a choice of five colours
Story
A carved pedestal by a local craftsman
The pedestal is essentially a sculpture made by a local craftsman. Its conical form is solid ash stained moka or wenge, and the carving is done entirely by hand with a gouge. Each piece is unique.
Marble or glass on top
The cone rests on a metal base in brushed bronzed brass. Calacatta marble or back-painted glass forms the top, fitted flush into a solid-ash frame.
