Duo Small Armchair

Overview

DUO Small Armchair is the armchair version of DUO Chair, with a backrest that opens laterally into two ear-like armrests and a convex seat.

Construction

Its shell combines Polimex® with poplar and birch plywood; the seat frame is birch plywood, with expanded polyurethane and polyester-wadding padding. Solid-ash side panels are joined by a matte-black painted frame. Four triangular-section ash legs are offered in wenge or mocha stains, with custom stain and RAL lacquer options. Ear-shaped armrests

The backrest widens at both sides to form the armrests. Poltrona Frau describes the convex seat as a counterpoint to the gentle concavity of the backrest, while the padding is intended to support relaxation and conversation.

Ash sides and legs

Solid-ash side panels are connected by a matte-black painted metal frame. The four ash legs have a triangular section and may be stained wenge or mocha, custom stained, or lacquered to a RAL sample.
