Brand Story
Heritage
Poliform's roots go back to 1942, when the Spinelli and Anzani families set up a small artisan business in Inverigo, in the Brianza area north of Milan. In 1970 the cousins Alberto Spinelli, Aldo Spinelli and Giovanni Anzani turned that workshop into an industrial company and named it Poliform, a name meant to signal flexibility, simplicity, elegance and openness to the future.
Philosophy
Poliform describes its design philosophy as cultured and contemporary beauty, timeless elegance and technical excellence, expressed in systems and accessories that blend with the surrounding architecture and share a recognisable aesthetic. Each product line has its own research and development team.

Iconic Works
From 1987 modularity and flexibility shaped Poliform's systems, and in the 1990s the brand became a leader in the European wardrobe sector. In 1996 it acquired the kitchen brand Varenna, in 2001 it launched Poliform Contract for large residential, retail and hospitality projects, and in 2010 it began producing upholstered furniture, the division that includes armchairs such as the Mad collection by Studio Marcel Wanders.

Today
In 2018 ADI awarded the founders the Compasso d'Oro Lifetime Achievement Award, and in 2020 the company marked its fiftieth anniversary. Poliform is present across five continents with a complete home-furnishing offer, produced in the Brianza district: headquarters and Poliform Lab in Inverigo, kitchens in Lurago d'Erba, night systems in Arosio, day complements in Alzate Brianza and upholstered furniture in Anzano del Parco. It reports 711 employees and 97% Italian suppliers.
