Overview

The Ketch armchair is presented as solid lines and generous volumes for a seat inspired by the nautical world. Its solid wood structure carries a flexible backrest that Poliform compares to a sail stretched between two masts.

Construction

The frame is solid wood, either black stained iroko or teak. The padding is recycled PET with a polyurethane insert, wrapped in a heat-sealed pre-cover and a fabric cover that comes off.

Story

Jean-Marie Massaud

Poliform's outdoor catalogue lists the Ketch sofas and armchairs under the design of Jean-Marie Massaud.

A sail between two masts

The armchair page ties the flexible backrest to a sail stretched between the masts of a boat, and describes the iroko structure as essential. It can stand alone or sit with the sofa and coffee table of the Ketch collection.
