Overview
The Saarinen Coffee Tables are the low tables of Knoll's Saarinen Pedestal Collection, designed by Eero Saarinen (1957) as a round table of 35 inches and an oval of 42 inches, both on a single pedestal base.

Construction
- Round and oval tops in marble, granite, quartz, slate, wood veneer or laminate
- Cast-aluminum base with a corrosion-resistant Rilsan finish, in Black, White, Cream or Grey
- Knoll logo and designer's signature stamped on the base or the underside of the top

Story
Low tables in a family of pedestal tables
Knoll's cut sheet places the coffee tables beside the dining, side and lounge tables of the Saarinen Pedestal Collection, each on the same single-legged base idea, in round and oval tops. The coffee tables are the lowest of them, 15.25 inches high.
Signature and authentication
Knoll states that the base or the underside of the tabletop carries a stamp of the Knoll logo and the designer's signature, so that each table can be authenticated for life. The shop adds a Saarinen line: "Compromise usually comes from a fear of being pure."
