Overview
The Ren bookcase is credited to Neri&Hu and is made by Poltrona Frau in a freestanding version that needs no wall fixing. A steel counterweight sits on the hidden side of the bottom shelf.

Construction
The supporting structure is formed by two shaped side panels and wooden crossbars. The shelves are birch plywood, and the feet are adjustable black plastic tips. Brass details have a transparent matt surface treatment. The leather is either Saddle Extra saddle-leather or Pelle Frau ColorSphere.

Story
Shaped sides and crossbars
Two shaped side panels and wooden crossbars make up the supporting structure, with brass details finished by a transparent matt treatment.
Counterweight instead of a wall fixing
In the freestanding version a steel counterweight sits on the hidden side of the bottom shelf, so the bookcase stands on its own. The leather covering is either saddle-leather with delicate handmade markings or Pelle Frau ColorSphere with visible stitching, chosen tone on tone or contrasting in the leather version.
