Utility Chair U

Overview

Neri&Hu designed the Utility collection for Stellar Works, and the Utility Chair U, code UT-S210-UP, is one of its chairs. Stellar Works dates the launch of the collection, not of this chair, to 2013, and says the collection draws on the look of factory and school-house furniture.

Construction

The material line reads solid wood legs, plywood panel, steel in hairline aged gold, and upholstery. In the picture the chair appears in B Leather Crystal Black 9893 with Natural Walnut and metal finish MT-20.

One chair in a larger range

Stellar Works names the Utility Chair U beside the Utility Chair V, Utility Armchair U and V, highback chairs, lounge chairs, stools, bar chairs, a daybed, sofas and tables. It says the collection took its name from a sense of utility: usefulness, functionality and efficiency.
