Story
Refined reduction
Fritz Hansen's page describes the PK61 as a table where every element is visible and nothing is superfluous: four identical brushed steel components carry a square top in marble, granite or glass. It says there is no attempt to hide the construction, because the table's strength lies in its simplicity.

Companion and reissue
The page presents the table as a companion to the PK22 chair and, in its 2026 reissue, with a grey-white granite top. Wikipedia dates the PK61 to 1955 and describes its top as available in glass, marble, granite or slate; the manufacturer's year, 1956, is the one used here.
