Overview

The Mogensen 2208 Sofa is a 2 seater of 128 cm (Model 2208) and, per Fredericia's sheet, a Børge Mogensen design of 1963. The drawing labels 128 cm wide, 82 cm deep, 84 cm high and a 43 cm seat; the sheet gives 37 kg.

Construction

Piping runs through every stitch. Leather and fabric are both offered. Beneath the seat are jute and rubber-band webbing, and the legs are fixed solid wood joined to the timber inner frame. The sheet names a seat cushion and a back cushion, each with a detachable cover, plus a frame cover that is fixed. Cushion filling is specified as a foam core with a down wrap, or foam and down in separate chambers.

The model line reads 2208 - 128 cm, 2 seater. The recommended upholstery is sorted into four fabric groups, starting with Bardal, Capture, Re-wool, Linara and Erik and ending with Sisu and Safire.
