Story
Developed for a private balcony
Carl Hansen & Søn says Mogensen first developed the deck chair in the 1960s for his own balcony. The model returned to production in 2020; that date is recorded as its reintroduction rather than its design year.
Reclining and folding
The frame is angled for a reclining posture, with shaped wooden slats. When the chair is not being used, it folds flat for storage or can hang on a wall.
