Description
Low cabinet
The Mi Low Cabinet by Neri&Hu is divided into two compartments. Four doors open in paired book-fold arrangements and close with magnets; each compartment contains one fixed walnut-veneered shelf.
Materials
The frame is metal tube with a burnished-steel finish. Curved poplar plywood forms the sides and birch plywood forms the bottom and back. Saddle Extra leather with a vertical Canneté relief covers the exterior, and the raised top is marble.

Story
The meaning of Mi
The name Mi carries two meanings in Chinese pinyin: looking and secret. The storage pieces respond by partially hiding their contents behind an oblong shell and a tempered-glass layer.
Paired doors
On the low cabinet, four doors divide into two folding pairs. The layout creates two separate storage compartments, each with a fixed shelf rather than the adjustable arrangement used by the high version.
