Era Chair

A curved chair with a light structure

Designed by David Lopez Quincoces in 2017, the Era Chair combines a shaped steel backrest band with a slim steel frame. The backrest uses a 1.5 mm rolled steel sheet with polyurethane foam padding, while the frame is made from round steel bars joined by a shaped steel plate ring.

Materials and dimensions

The seat panel is poplar plywood with a spring system made from cross-woven coated-rubber elastic straps, polyurethane foam and acrylic-fibre covering. The metal parts are finished in Gunmetal Grey epoxy-polyester powder coating; the brass screws are matte satin brass. The low-back version measures 55 cm wide, 46 cm deep and 66 cm high, with a 43 cm seat height. A high-back version is also available at 55 × 49 × 73 cm, with a 44 cm seat height.

A change of material within the Era silhouette

Living Divani presents the Era Chair as a continuation of the family silhouette with a different material expression. Here the padded backrest is formed from calendered steel sheet, the frame uses Gunmetal Grey painted steel, and the seat develops the same idea through a light construction.

Two backrest proportions

The technical sheet records low- and high-back versions. The two options retain the same 55 cm width while changing depth and overall height, allowing the Era Chair to be specified with the lower or taller backrest shown in the official drawings.
