Description
Overview
Era Scrittoio is a writing desk designed by David Lopez Quincoces in 2020. It was born as an evolution of the family of the same name and has graphic lines with sophisticated materic and chromatic combinations.
Construction
The structure is MDF, with external MDF panels veneered in Stone Oak® or Canaletto-dyed Walnut, in multilayer Striped Grey wood veneer, or finished in glossy lacquer in one of five RAL colours. The front is divided into an open compartment of 53 x 44.5 cm, 8.7 cm high, always matte black lacquered, and an extendable drawer on Blum® slides with 3 compartments of different heights and storage capacities. The top is 18 mm thick MDF with a 3 mm steel sheet frame with brass coating, veneered like the panels and coupled to the supporting frame with bushing and pins. The legs are Ø16 mm round steel bars with integrated fastening elements and screwed brass feet, joined by Ø10 mm round steel tie bars, and the desk rests on plastic tips. The metal is powder coated with epoxy polyester, Gunmetal grey in colour; the brass has a satin finish with matt paint.

David Lopez Quincoces designed Era Scrittoio in 2020 as an evolution of the family of the same name. The desk is built on graphic lines and on sophisticated combinations of material and colour.
An open compartment beside a drawer
The front is divided into an open compartment, always matte black lacquered, and an extendable drawer on Blum® slides that is split into 3 compartments of different heights and storage capacities. Ø16 mm steel legs with screwed brass feet carry the top, tied together by Ø10 mm steel bars.
