Story
A chair for a chalet-hotel
The page says Perriand, "with a real passion for the mountains", designed the armchair in 1947 for the Méribel Les Allues ski resort and for the Hôtel Doron, described as one of the first chalet-hotels in the French resort.
Natural materials
The sheet describes Perriand as holding a special and profound relationship with nature, among the first to look at the link between people and their surroundings and to seek natural materials for her projects. Cassina also offers an outdoor version, described as solid teak with a seat padded in polyurethane foam under waterproof cloth.
