Description

Overview

The Conseil Chair is Pierre Guariche's armless chair in a programme conceived for varied living and work settings. It measures 510 × 590 × 720 mm, with a 465 mm seat height.

Shell and cushioning

Moulded beech plywood forms the seat and back. Polyether foam, two high-resilience Bultex grades and quilted polyester create the upholstered assembly.

Base choices

Eighteen-millimetre steel tubing is offered in polished chrome or satin-black epoxy lacquer. Professional removal of the cover is permitted.

Story

A democratic furniture programme

Conseil is one of Pierre Guariche's structured designs created for Meurop. Conceived for adaptable use, efficient production, comfort and modernity, the range answered a 1960s ambition to broaden access to quality furniture.

The armless chair

This model retains the programme's moulded-shell construction without the arm components used on the carver version. Its two base finishes share identical dimensions and the same documented cushion specification.
