Specifications

Overall size: 625 x 470 x 785 mm (W x D x H). Seat height: 470 mm. Weight: 9.605 kg.

Story

A single-piece wooden chair

Pierre Guariche designed the Papyrus chair in 1954 for Steiner, and it is one of the 5 chairs that changed the destiny of Steiner at the beginning of the 1950s. It is the first French wooden chair designed in a single piece.

A thin curved seat

The thin seat with its unique curve suggests the technical possibilities of thermoformed plywood. The backrest is robust, yet relatively flexible and thin.
