Story
The first piece for Knoll
Knoll's overview calls the bench the first piece of furniture Bertoia created for Knoll. It has no signature wire grid, and its welded wire base shows an early exploration of the material that foreshadows what soon followed.
Slats and cushions
The slats are solid wood, pre-treated against sagging and warping, in black or white paint or outdoor-suitable teak. Firm foam cushions with a welt detail can be added, up to three platform bench cushions bought separately according to the cut sheet.
