Biography
Background
Bertjan Pot is a Dutch designer, born in 1975 in Nieuwleusen, the Netherlands (Moooi). He runs Studio Bertjan Pot and works with manufacturers including Arco, Cassina, Established & Sons, Hay, Lensvelt, Montis, Moooi, Moustache, Richard Lampert, Kvadrat Febrik, Maharam and Nike.
Signature Style
Every product starts as a material experiment. The outcome is usually an interior product showing a fascination for techniques, structures, patterns and colours. Most experiments begin impulsively, out of curiosity about how something would function or look; he then sets himself challenges, with or without a manufacturer, to test possibilities and move limits, and the studio notes that each challenge brings a new one.

- Masks made from colourful rope (Dutch Design Award 2012)
