Brand Story

Heritage

Moroso was founded in 1952 by Agostino Moroso, whose vision set the company's cultural and manufacturing foundations. It grew as a family business rooted in the Italian manufacturing tradition, and today it is led by Roberto Moroso and Patrizia Moroso, Art Director.

Philosophy

Moroso describes itself as working at the intersection of design, culture and production, built on a dialogue between craftsmanship and innovation. Patrizia Moroso asks designers "to imagine a world, not just an object". Comfort is treated not only as ergonomics but as a sensitive interpretation of spaces and relationships, and the company names people and relationships, culture and beauty, and responsibility as its values.

Iconic Works

From the 1980s Moroso opened up to international design, working with figures such as Ron Arad, Patricia Urquiola and Ross Lovegrove — collaborations the company calls a turning point, where products became expressions of research, experimentation and identity.

Today

Moroso specialises in upholstered furniture and designer furnishings for residential and contract settings, including hospitality, corporate and naval projects. Its atelier combines tailoring techniques and artisanal expertise with industrial technology, and it holds ISO 9001 (1994) and ISO 14001 (1999) certification. The company is based in Tavagnacco, Udine, Italy.
