Brand Story

Heritage

Lammhults dates back to 1945, when founder Edvin Ståhl opened a mechanical workshop in Lammhult, southern Sweden, supplying components to the local furniture industry. In 1955 he designed and began producing the company's first piece of furniture, the 282 stool, followed the same year by the Pyramid chair. The company has been on its current site since 1968.

Philosophy

Lammhults believes design can improve everyday life and contribute to more meaningful and sustainable ways of living. Its motto is "Space matters": furniture should make spaces more appropriate, relevant and meaningful, with comfort and beauty treated as equally important. The company calls design a collaborative practice and keeps its products as simple as possible.
